Selling A Nevada Home Information
What Is It Like To Live In Las Vegas?
Lifestyle is the reason 5000 people a month (for 30 years) relocate to Las Vegas. Do you know anyone who lives here? Altogether, about 1/3 of the people that move to the Las Vegas Valley are from California. In addition to California, the next top states are Arizona, Texas, Illinois, and Florida. Why is Southern Nevada so popular? A great lifestyle is the most common reason.
With affordable housing, a lack of traffic, and Nevada’s generous tax structure, there’s no other state like Nevada. Because the Las Vegas Lifestyle is about fun, 30% of residents are Retirees.
Having a low cost of living, incredible tax benefits, and 300+ sunny days each year and only 4″ of rain a year, there are a lot of reasons to move here. Equally important is the inexpensive air travel fares, with friends and family flocking to visit.
Homes and Amenities
After selling an out-of-state home, many people, when relocating, will pay cash for a fabulous home. Buying a newer home with desert landscaping equates to very little maintenance needed.
The majority of houses in the valley are 25 years old or newer. As a result, most neighborhoods feature underground utilities, including high-speed fiber optic internet. Furthermore, every builder now uses smart-home features and energy-efficient materials.
Even the stores, roads, and neighborhoods still feel new even though they’re not. Many of the country’s favorite chain stores and restaurants have numerous locations around the valley. We feel like Big City USA when it comes to commercial businesses.
Parks and Rec Facilities – Youth programs, concerts in the park, parades, festivals, and cultural events are a large part of our lifestyle. Walking trails offer over 1000 miles of recreation as well. Parks for every sport and community centers for meetings, clubs, and activities are important to our city residents.
National rankings about parks have North Las Vegas as 60th in the country, and Las Vegas and Henderson are not on the chart. I can only conclude that they are not counting master-planned community amenities. With around 100 master-planned communities in the valley, we should be in the top 10. Each neighborhood has a small park, each community has a large park, and walking trails connect them.
Lifestyle Advantages Of The Nearby Areas
Within an hour from anywhere in the valley is the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. This is our personal beach and waterpark. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area has world-class rock climbing and many hiking trails. The visitor center teaches about the canyon before you venture onto the 30+ miles
of trails in the area.
Another great place to explore just a few miles from town is the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area. This unpublicized hidden gem offers hiking, picnicing, and petroglyphs to discover. They are intentionally not mapped, so finding one is always a surprise. Mt. Charleston, just northwest of town, has snow sports and forest recreation.
There’s Something For Everyone
We have worship facilities for every religion, plus clubs and Meet-Ups for every activity and hobby. There are parades, fairs, music festivals and plays in the park and many more events year-round.
The Las Vegas Strip is only one street in a beautifully developed valley of 134 square miles. When you live in the Las Vegas Valley, the Strip is where you meet friends who are visiting or attend concerts and shows. Birthday dinners will have you trying someplace different each year.
Downtown Las Vegas has a gaming section plus it has become a revitalization area and a great place to live again. Another fun activity is visiting all the hotel pools. The best thing about Las Vegas is that there’s always something to do, 24/7, year-round, indoors and outside!
