Solera at Stallion Mountain is located on the east side of Las Vegas. Del Webb Pulte Homes built Solera at Stallion Mountain as a result of a very unique land acquisition. After going bankrupt during the housing crisis, the golf course shut down for three years, and the ultimate winner?
Retirees and Senior Citizens. Stallion Mountain Golf Club sold 2 of their 3 golf courses to Pulte Homes. Also included in the purchase was the 10,000 square foot Stallion Mountain Clubhouse and access to other amenities enjoyed by Stallion Mountain, including a guard-gated entrance.
Pulte had recently completed building 1830 homes for Solera at Anthem, so selling the Solera floorplans again made sense. This provided a great opportunity for a 55+ community for active-adult senior citizens at affordable prices after the housing recession. Choosing to create a unique 50+ age-restricted community instead of only houses for 55+ residents, they attracted both retirees and future retirees quickly.
Pulte built 830 homes in different 3 neighborhoods filling in the land on 2 out of 3 golf courses. The Fairways is closest to the remaining golf course, The Greens further away but larger one-story homes. Also included in the Solera housing options is The Links, a townhouse development with its own common areas.
As you look at resale homes in Stallion Mountain, remember that homes were originally built starting in 1992 giving homes a possible 20 year age difference. Older homes sell for a lower price and probably need more updating.
Besides having a reasonably priced golf course, the clubhouse features a great meeting area for residents. Designed similarly to other Del Webb communities, the clubhouse offers many clubs and activities. Most are hosted and lead by the neighborhood’s residents.
There’s a fitness center with classes and optional personal trainers, meeting rooms, and billiards. Outside amenities at Solera include a large outdoor pool with shade and a spa. Competitiveness is fulfilled with the multiple tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, and bocce ball courts.
Located near Flamingo and Boulder Highway, Sam’s Club and Boulder Station are nearby for additional recreation and dining. McCarran International Airport is within 10 minutes and so is UNLV. Being near the Financial District, access to fine dining and businesses are also close. Only 3 exits down the freeway are 3 additional Henderson casinos and the Galleria at Henderson.
