Woodside Homes In Las Vegas
Woodside Homes builds townhouses, family homes, beautiful luxury homes at all price points in Las Vegas and Henderson. They are currently building a townhouse community with prices starting at $263,000 for 1500 square feet, a home in Las Vegas that is 2384 square for $415,000, and a $950,000 furnished model home in Summerlin on a stunning view lot for $950,000.
The homes they are building in every market and at every price point are fabulous. Woodside designs combine traditional and contemporary styles with open floor plans and generous usage of smart and energy-efficient technologies.
Besides following energy-efficiency building codes, Woodside utilizes modern, technologically advanced materials that make their homes exceed industry standards. Every light fixture and appliance in Woodside’s
homes are Energy Star rated. Other standard materials that they use are LowE2 vinyl windows, programmable thermostats, and water-saving fixtures. A stand-out building material they’ve included in their designs is a radiant barrier. Radiant barriers reduce the attic temperature by blocking heat at the roof.
It’s important to know what standard features are included with each builder’s homes so you can compare standard vs. upgraded features. Radiant barriers are $2000-$3000 upgrades with some builders. Additional energy-saving features utilized by Woodside Homes are the use of Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) paint and PEX piping. PEX pipes don’t conduct hot or cold temperatures like copper piping does, which decreases both hot and cold water usage and Low VOC paint is good for the planet.
History of Woodside Homes
Woodside Homes was founded in Utah in 1977. Over the years, they grew, branching out into neighboring southwestern states. As with many builders, they got caught with too-high-priced land and values rapidly going the other direction. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2008. Emerging from that, they were acquired by Oaktree Capital Management and Stonehill Institutional Partners. Finally, in 2017 Woodside Homes was purchased by Japanese giant Sekisui House Ltd.
As a result of Woodside Homes joining the Sekisui House family of companies, they will be able to leverage that and incorporate emerging international technology into the homebuilding process. In addition to the United States, Sekisui builds homes in Japan, China, Singapore, and Australia.
Currently, Woodside Homes is building 7 communities in Las Vegas and Henderson. With 6 neighborhoods coming soon, they will be building homes in the valley for a long time to come.
